Keeping with the bread-meat theme, I really felt like getting a sub sandwich for lunch, so after much research, we decided to go to Tempesta Market in the West Town neighborhood. This is a cool little Italian market and deli. The workers there were so nice, they even let me order off the menu, so I can get my FAVORITE sub sandwich – Ham & Cheese (mayo, of course). They had SOOOO many other options though. Maybe in time I will grow to like those.

While waiting for my sub, I drooled over the gelato case and BEGGED for chocolate gelato. I said I would even do extra chores. It worked and was very worth it. It was amazing. They had flavors like CHOCOLATE (my fav), strawberry, pistachio and more!

Later, we stopped at Molly’s Cupcakes because my dad and I have a SERIOUS sweet tooth problem. Their new South Loop bakery is open for pick-up and I never pass up a good cupcake. When I walk through the front door, I feel like I am walking into the classroom we all dream about – no teachers, no books, no rules, just cupcakes, cookies, and rice krispy treats. Now who wouldn’t want to come to this classroom???

The hardest part is trying to pick just ONE cupcake. They have so many options - regular cupcakes, fancy (oh-lala) cupcakes, party cupcakes and even cupcakes with cookies and fruit on top! Do you want to know what makes them even more special? Surprise filling in the middle... (insert happy emoji)

With all these fancy delicious treats, my recommendation would be the s’mores cupcake. It was honestly just like being at a campout - graham crackers, marshmallow, topped off with a Hershey bar and a special surprise inside. DELICIOUS!
