Today is my last day in the city hanging with my dad and we wanted to have Dim Sum. Side note, my Papa grew up in Chinatown and we go there a lot when we visit my grandparents. We called all of our favorite Chinese restaurants and not a single one was open (tear drop emoji). Luckily Dim Sum House was open though, which means that we had to pick-up the dim sum from this little storefront and make it ourselves. I was a bit discouraged, but my dad was committed.

We made eggs over white rice, sui mei (? – is a Chinese dumpling with pork inside), pot stickers (? – is a different style dumpling that also has pork inside) and BBQ pork buns. I had the sui mei, eggs over white rice and two pot stickers – it was so good! It tasted pretty close to our favorite Chinese places. Definitely try Dim Sum House if your favorite restaurants are closed and aren’t scared to make it yourself… Sui Mei was super good.
